Behala (Paschim) is constituency No. 154 of West Bengal state legislative assembly. It is situated in District South 24 Parganas. Behala (Paschim) is part of Lok Sabha constituency No. 23 Kolkata Dakshin. It is an unreserved constituency.
According to the Election Commission of India, Behala (Paschim) has 2,60,955 registered voters, 1,31,187 male and 1,29,768 female voters.
Partha Chatterjee of Trinamool Congress won from this constituency in the 2011 assembly elections. Four candidates contested from this seat. Chatterjee defeated the main CPI(M) candidate, Anupam Debsarkar, by a convincing margin of 59,021 votes. Chatterjee got 1,27,870 votes while his opponent got 68,849. The voter turnout was 77.87% .
