Kunda is constituency No. 246 of Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly.
It is situated in Kunda district and comes under the Kaushambi Lok Sabha constituency. It is an open constituency.
According to data with the Election Commission of India, Kunda has 3,15,457 registered voters. It has 1,73,180 male and 1,42,269 female registered voters.
Independent candidate Raghuraj Pratap Singh won this constituency yet again by a whopping margin of 88,255 votes in the last Assembly elections held in 2012. Also known as 'Raja Bhaiyya', Raghuraj Pratap Singh got as many as 1,11,392 votes. He has managed to retain the Kunda Assembly seat for about five consecutive terms since 1993. In 2012, the runner-up was Shiv Prakash Mishra Senani of Bahujan Samaj Party who got just 23,137 votes. The voter turnout was 52.14 %.
