Bagma assembly constituency is in the South Tripura district of Tripura State. There are 51,348 voters in the constituency of which 46,859 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 91.26%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 83.40% Hindus, 8.60% Muslims and 4.35% Christians.
Ram Pada Jamatia candidate belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat in last election defeating Naresh Chandra Jamatia of Communist Party Of India (Marxist) by 2,833 Votes.
