About Kangayam Assembly Constituency

Kangayam is constituency No. 102 of Tamil Nadu legislative assembly. It is situated in Tirupur district. This unreserved seat is part of Erode Lok Sabha constituency.

According to the Election Commission of India, Kangayam has 1,93,597 registered voters. Out of this, 97,505 are male and 96,089 are female voters.

The AIADMK won Kangayam seat in the 2011 assembly elections. Natarajan N.S.N., the AIADMK candidate, won this seat by a formidable margin of 41,765 votes. While Natarajan got 96,005 votes, his main opponent, Videyal Sekar S. of INC, got 54,240. The voter turnout was 81.82 %.
