Anna Nagar is constituency No. 21 of Tamil Nadu legislative assembly. It is part of Chennai Central, which is a Lok Sabha constituency. This unreserved constituency is situated in the state capital Chennai.

According to the Election Commission of India, Anna Nagar has 2,26,836 registered voters. It includes 1,13,694 male and 1,13,122 female voters.

In the 2011 assembly elections, the AIADMK secured an important victory from this seat. This seat had been a DMDK stronghold for over a few decades. Gokula Indira S., the winning candidate, got 88,954 votes. Her main opponent, Arivazhagan V.K. of the INC, got 52,364. The voter turnout was 66.86 %.
