Jaipur Rural General (Lok Sabha) Election Result 2019





In 2009 Election Results the UPA won around 261 out of 543 seats, and in the second position was NDA with 158 seats, while 23 seats were won by Left parties.

In 2014 Election Results the BJP won 282 seats out of 543 seats. This took the NDA tally to 336 seats out of 543 seats in the Lok Sabha. INC could only manage to win 44 seats and stayed in the second position while AIADMK party from Tamil Nadu came third with 37 seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections.

In 2019, the BJP is set to return to power at the Centre after a sweeping win in the 2019 Lok Sabha election , armed with a bigger mandate than in the 2014 General Election. The party - led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah duo has secured 303 seats in the 17th Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, the Congress, the main Opposition party, managed to increase its vote share from 2014 only by a handful of votes, with a final tally of 52 seats. There will be no Leader of Opposition in the upcoming Lower House for a second consecutive term.

The Parliamentary Constituency of Jaipur Rural is one of the 25 Lok Sabha constituencies of Rajasthan which was formed in 2008 as a part of the implementation of delimitation of parliamentary constituencies. Presently, it comprises of eight Vidhan Sabha segments of which one has been reserved for the SC category. According to Election Commission of India 2009 data the total electorates in the Jaipur Rural Parliamentary constituency
(constituency number 6) were 1,444,949 of which 677,723 are females and 767,226 are males. The administrative headquarters of this district is situated in Jaipur, the largest city in Rajasthan and also its capital. It is the tenth most populous district in the country and is located in the north-eastern part of the state. Jaipur spans over an area of 111.8 sq. km. and is situated at an average elevation of 431 meters. Rajasthani, Hindi, English and Punjabi are widely spoken here.

As per the 2011 census, Jaipur city has a population of over 3,073,000 of which 74% are Hindus. The sex ratio is 898 females per 1000 males. The overall literacy rate is 76.44%, with male literacy at 88% and female literacy at 65%. Jaipur is home to eight universities and several other colleges, institutions andschools. Jaipur is a famous exporter of gold, diamond and stone jewellery of Asia. Tourism is also an important part of the economic setup. National Highways NH 8, NH 11 and NH 12 pass through Jaipur district connecting it to a vast road network.
