There are 16,513 voters in the constituency of which 14,772 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 89.46%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 98.96% Christians, 0.27% Hindus and 0.33% Muslims.
Pohwang Konyak candidate belonging to Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party won the seat in last election defeating K Konngam Konyak of Naga Peoples Front by 632 Votes.
