Mongoya assembly constituency is in the Mokokchung district of Nagaland State. There are 16,014 voters in the constituency of which 13,585 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 84.83%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 93.44% Christians, 5.06% Hindus and 1.06% Muslims.
Ngangshi K Ao candidate belonging to Naga Peoples Front won the seat in last election defeating Alemtemshi Jamir of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party by 348 Votes.
