Meluri assembly constituency is in the Phek district of Nagaland State. There are 17,989 voters in the constituency of which 16,596 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 92.2%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 95.19% Christians, 2.62% Hindus and 1.23% Muslims.
Yitachu candidate belonging to Naga Peoples Front won the seat in last election defeating Z Nyusietho Nyuthe of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party by 72 Votes.
