There are 52,179 voters in the constituency of which 38,687 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 74.14%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 61.84% Christians, 28.75% Hindus and 8.24% Muslims.
Moatoshi Longkumer candidate belonging to Naga Peoples Front won the seat in last election defeating Supulebten of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party by 6,939 Votes.
