There are 15,566 voters in the constituency of which 12,506 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 80.3%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 95.97% Christians, 3.2% Hindus and 0.73% Muslims.
Tongpang Ozukum candidate belonging to Independent Party won the seat in last election defeating Alemtemshi Jamir of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party by 950 Votes.
