Aghunato assembly constituency is in the Zunheboto district of Nagaland State. There are 18,350 voters in the constituency of which 14,881 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 81%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 99.03% Christians, 0.44% Hindus and 0.33% Muslims.
Pukhayi candidate belonging to Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party won the seat in last election defeating Hukiye N Tissica of Naga Peoples Front by 1,421 Votes.
