Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri - MLA from Sirsi (80)

Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri was born in Sirsi, Mysore State in 1961. He is currently the 23rd Speaker of Karnataka Vidhan Sabha since July 2019. He has also served as the Minister for Primary and Secondary Education from 2008 to 2013 in the Government of Karnataka. for six terms he has served Sirsi assembly constituency as MLA.

In the 2018 Vidhan Sabha elections he won the Sirsi constituency by defeating Bhimanna Naik of Congress by almost 15 thousand votes
