Umesh Vishwanath Katti - MLA from Hukkeri (7)

Umesh Vishwanath Katti was a politician from India. He was first elected to the Karnataka Assembly as a Janata Dal member. He was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Karnataka Legislative Assembly's Minister of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs and Forest from 4 August 2021 to 6 September 2022. He entered politics following the death of his father, Legislative Assembly Member Vishwanath Katti, in 1985. He died of a massive heart attack in the bathroom of his Dollar's Colony residence in Bangaluru on September 6, 2022. Katti was taken to Bangalore's M S Ramaiah Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
