B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan - MLA from Chamrajpet (168)

Zameer Ahmed Khan is Current MLA from Chamrajpet Assembly Constituency, Cabinet Minister in the Karnataka government, and former General Secretary of the Karnataka Pradesh Janata Dal (Secular). Khan served as the Karnataka government's Minister for Hajj and Wakf Board. S. M. Krishna was appointed governor of Maharashtra in 2005, paving the way for Zameer's political rise. When Krishna left Chamarajpet to become governor, the JD(S) fielded Zameer, who defeated Krishna's lieutenant R. V. Devraj. Zameer was then sworn in as Haj and wakf minister in the JDS-BJP coalition government led by H D Kumaraswamy. Zameer, along with six other JD(S) MLAs, officially joined the Indian National Congress on March 25, 2018.
