Dharwad, also known as Dharwar, is an assembly constituency in the Indian state of Karnataka's northwestern region. It is the administrative centre of Karnataka's Dharwad district and shares a contiguous urban area with the city of Hubballi. In 1962, it merged with Hubballi to form the twin cities of Hubballi-Dharwad. Dharwad constituent election results will be known once the Election Commission shall announce the Karnataka election results of 2023. Dharwad Vidhan Sabha 2023 results shall be awaited once the elections are held in the state of Karnataka. According to the 2011 Census, Dharwad had a population of 1,847,023 people, with 937,206 males and 909,817 females. Hindus make up 75.26% of the population, Muslims make up 20.94%, and Christians make up 1.56%. In 2018, Dharwad Vidhan Sabha constituency had total 207025 electors.
In the 2018 Vidhan Sabha elections Amrut Ayyappa Desai won the seat who belongs to BJP. The lists of candidates for the Dharwad constituency have been declared by various political parties for the upcoming Karnataka elections 2023.
