About Chadoora Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Chadoora is a town in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The assembly constituency of Chadoora belongs to Srinagar parliamentary constituency. Javid Mustafa Mir of PDP won the 2002 assembly elections. He defeated his nearest Ali Mohammad Dar of JKNC by a margin of 8,047 votes. Mir won the 2008 assembly elections for the second consecutive time and thus managed to retain the seat for PDP. He defeated Dar of JKNC. Mir bagged 16278 votes as against Dar's 13338 votes.
