Israna is a large village and tahsil headquarters in Panipat district of Haryana. It is a part of Karnal Lok Sabha constituency. The constituency is reserved for the Scheduled Castes. As of 2011 India census,Israna had a population of 1,08,223. Krishan Lal Panwar is the present MLA of the constituency.
