Siwan is a district, a Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency, and a legislative assembly constituency in the state of Bihar. The people of Siwan elected Vyas Deo Prasad of BJP as their leader in the Bihar Assembly election 2015. He got 55,156 votes in the previous election whereas Bablu Prasad of JDU emerged as a runner up. There was a margin of 3,534 votes between them.

The Siwan legislative assembly constituency is home to 2,80,805 people who have the right to vote under the universal adult franchise. Among all the voters of the constituency, there are 1,51,835 men and 1,28,967 women. The polling percentage for the Bihar Election 2015 in the Siwan constituency was 56.17 %.
