About Sheikhpura Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Sheikhpura is a legislative assembly constituency in the state of Bihar. It is located in the Sheikhpura district and a part of the Jamui Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency of the state. Sheikhpura is represented in the state legislative assembly by Randhir Kumar Soni of JDU. Soni was elected the MLA of Sheikhpura after he won 41,755 votes and defeated HAM�s Naresh Saw by a margin of 13,101 votes in the assembly elections held in 2015. Randhir Kumar Soni won for the second time in 2015. He had earlier won the Bihar Election 2010 as well.
Around 2,28,545 eligible voters live in Sheikhpura Vidhan Sabha constituency. Of them, 55.61 % had chosen to vote in the Bihar Assembly Election 2015. The next election for the Bihar Assembly is expected around October or November 2020.
