About Sakra Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
The Sakra assembly constituency is in Muzaffarpur district in the state of Bihar. Only candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) are eligible to contest the Sakra assembly seat. At present, Sakra is represented by Lal Babu Ram of RJD in the state legislative assembly. Chanchal won 75,010 votes in the 2015 assembly elections. He defeated Arjun Ram of BJP by a margin of 13,012 votes.
Sakra comprises the Dholi Mural and Sakra community development blocks as recommended by the Delimitation Commission of India in 2008. There are a total of 2,41,844 people holding the right to vote in the constituency. Of these, 1,28,486 are males, while 1,13,356 are females. The next election to the Bihar Legislative will take place from October to November 2020.
