About Sahebganj Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Sahebganj is a legislative assembly constituency of Bihar and is situated in the Muzaffarpur district. It is a part of the Vaishali LokSabha constituency of the state. The Sahebganj constituency is represented in the state assembly by Ramvichar Rai of RJD. He was elected as the MLA of Sahebganj in the assembly elections held in 2015. Rai had won 70,583 votes and defeated BJP�s Raju Kumar Singh, who got 59,923 votes. Raju Kumar Singh had won the 2005 (October and November), and the 2010 Bihar election on LJP and JDU�s ticket on Sahebganj constituency. Later he joined BJP and came up as a runner up in the 2015 Bihar Assembly election.
The Sahebganj assembly constituency accommodates a total of 2,77,987 eligible voters. There are 1,50,358 male and 1,27,614 female voters in the constituency. The upcoming Bihar Assembly election 2020 might take place in the months of October-November 2020.
