Patna Sahib is part of the Patna Sahib Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency as well as a legislative assembly segment in the state of Bihar. It is located in the Patna district of the state. Patna Sahib is also the seat of the state government of Bihar. Patna Sahib is represented in the state legislative assembly by BJP's Nand Kishore Yadav, who bagged 91,419 votes in the 2010 assembly elections. He defeated his nearest competitor Parvej Ahmad of INC by a gigantic margin of 65,337 votes in the elections. The Patna Sahib assembly segment is home to a total of 3,16,233 eligible voters, out of whom 1,71,877 are men and 1,44,342 are women.
