About Jhajha Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Jhajha is one of the 243 legislative assembly segments of the state of Bihar and belongs to the Jamui (SC) Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituency of the state. It lies in the Jamui district of Bihar. Jhajha is represented in the Bihar state legislative assembly by Rabindra Yadav of BJP, who won the seat by getting 65,537 votes in the 2015 assembly elections. JDU�s Damodar Rawat was the runner-up, who settled for 43,451 votes. Damodar Rawat had won four elections in Jhajha constituency from 2000. However, he lost the election at the time of his fifth term.
There are a total of 3,03,537 people in the Jhajha constituency, who hold the right to vote as per the universal adult franchise. Amongst all the voters of the constituency, 1,62,406 are men and 1,41,130 women. The next Bihar Election 2020 is scheduled from October to November 2020.
