About Lambi Assembly Constituency
Lambi is constituency No. 83 of Punjab legislative assembly. It is situated in Bathinda district in the southern fringe of Punjab. Lambi is unreserved constituency and comes under Bathinda Lok Sabha constituency. According to data with the Election Commission of India, Lambi has 1,40,066 registered voters. It comprises 73,496 male and 66,570 female registered voters. In the last Punjab assembly elections held in 2012, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) won this seat by a grand margin of 24,739 votes. Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader and current Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal won this seat by securing 67,999 votes. The runner-up was Maheshinder Singh of Congress who got 43,260 votes. The voter turnout was 87.23 %.
