Northern Angami I assembly constituency is in the Kohima district of Nagaland State. There are 17,047 voters in the constituency of which 13,118 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 76.95%. The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 87.67% Christians, 9.51% Hindus and 1.64% Muslims.
Khriehu Liezietsu candidate belonging to Naga Peoples Front won the seat in last election defeating Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party by 2,516 Votes.
