The Demographic Bifurcation of the constituency is 87.67% Christians, 9.51% Hindus and 1.64% Muslims.
Dr Neikiesalie Nicky Kire candidate belonging to Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party won the seat in last election defeating Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhutso of Naga Peoples Front by 2,372 Votes.
