Shella assembly constituency is in the east Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya State. There are 29,040 voters in the constituency of which 25,047 voters voted in the last election making the voting to around 86.25%. Donkupar Roy candidate belonging to United Democratic Party won the seat in last election defeating Leston Wanswett of People's Democratic Front by 370 Votes.
