Warora is a city in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. The place was famous as a
coal-mining center. As
of 2011 India census, it had a population of 171,540. The assembly constituency of Warora is
a part of
Chandrapur parliamentary constituency. Deotale Sanjay Wamanrao of INC won the 2009 assembly
elections and
is the present MLA. He defeated Suresh Alias Balubhau Narayan Dhanorkar of SHS. Wamanrao
bagged 51904
votes as against Dhanorkar's 48164 votes.
