About Nobra Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
One of the 87 assembly constituencies, Nobra is a part of Leh district of Jammu and Kashmir. The assembly constituency of Nobra belongs to Ladakh parliamentary constituency. In the past two assembly elections of 2002 and 2008, an independent candidate has won the seat defeating all the parties. Tsetan Namgyal, an independent candidate won the 2008 assembly elections and is the present MLA. He defeated Tsewang Rigzin of INC. Namgyal bagged 4608 votes as against Rigzin's 3678 votes.
