About Darhal Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) Constituency
Darhal is a tehsil in Rajauri district of Jammu & Kashmir. The assembly constituency of Darhal belongs to Jammu parliamentary constituency. The seat has mostly been occupied by JKNC or INC. But Zulfkar Ali of PDP won the 2008 assembly elections and is the present MLA. He defeated his nearest rival Mohd Iqbal, an independent candidate. Ali received 19399 votes as against Iqbal's 14858 votes.
